On October 1, Szczesny signed a contract with FC Barcelona. This contract will last for 1 year, so Szczesny will be in goal for FC Barcelona this season (2024-2025).
He mentioned that Robert Lewandowski, his former teammate in the Polish
national team, had a lot to do with the signing, saying that the Barça striker
“was the first person who called me to look into the possibility of this
happening because I was retired.”
Apart from Juventus in Serie A, Szczesny has also played for Arsenal in the

An experienced goalkeeper like him is exactly what FC Barcelona needed because, from my point of view, Iñaki Peña doesn’t project confidence. Taking into account Ter Stegen will be full recovered next season, do you think he will renew his contract if he does really well?

It can be something very positive for the club but it all depends on his adaptation to this season and how he performs physically as well, that's why we still can't give a clear answer to this question, time will decide.

ReplyDeletethe conditions were not specifically published, but it is always clear a salary and conditions for all players, and yes, the market was closed but as the Polish goalkeeper was a free agent, in this case, players can sign whenever they want so it was not a problem even to register him...
DeleteIt is always difficult to know how a new signing will go, now we will have to wait and see how well Szczęsny will perform for Barcelona. If he continues to perform as he has done before, for example Arsenal, he could become an important asset for the club. But there is also a risk that he will not live up to expectations.
